Amanda’s Lemonde Stand Press Release

WORLD’S LONGEST LINE OF LEMONADE STANDS FOR CHARITY!

NEW GUINNESS WORLD RECORD

CANADA’S DOWNSVIEW PARK

For Immediate Release:

TORONTO—UPDATE – LOCATION AND DATE ARE SET!!!

This Father’s Day, Sunday, June 18, 2017, will be the 19th annual Amanda’s Lemonade Stand. To date, Amanda and her brother Joshua have raised over $ 210,000 for charity. But this year, in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday, 19 year old Amanda and 10 year-old Joshua have brought together a team of volunteers from across the city to create a unique world record lemonade stand event to help raise even more money and awareness for many different charities.

With plans to raise an additional $300,000 this year alone, the team is going to hold a fun-filled family fun day which will be a Guinness World Record setting event. It will not only raise money for an amazing variety of charities but will also offer Torontonians and visitors to our great city an exciting opportunity to spend time together this Fathers Day eating, drinking (some lemonade, of course), enjoying great entertainment, participating in fun activities and events, having their pictures taken in a Back to the Future Delorean or with the many celebrities and dignitaries that plan to attend this event, visiting with the mascot from the upcoming Invictus Games, and bidding on fabulous auction items. Soon to be published authors Joshua and Amanda will also be taking pre-orders of their upcoming book which they plan to release by the end of the year. While all of this is going on, the Guinness World Records judge will be on hand to verify that the 365 companies, schools and organizations participating, have together, broken the World record for the longest line of lemonade stands ever.

Each company and organization that sponsors a stand for a charity that is meaningful to them will be part of the official Guinness World Record attempt. And with funds being raised for so many different charities, this festival is also expected to be the largest event in the world where so many different charities are being supported at the same time in the same place.

Inspired by his older sister Amanda’s belief that “everyone should have a lemonade stand for something they believe in,” 10-year-old Joshua, the CEO of Amanda’s Lemonade Stand, decided to make her dream and reality stating that “If 1 person can do great things then all of us together can do a gazillion times those great things” Joshua and Amanda are excited about bringing the city together to make a collective difference and show that no effort is too small to change the world.

To be part of this special once in a lifetime event, whether as the title sponsor, a corporate sponsor, a food or activity vendor, a host of one of the 365 lemonade stands, or as a festival volunteer, please visit our lemonade stand festival event website at http://amandaslemonade-events.com.

Since this event was conceived by Joshua just a few short months ago, close to half of the available lemonade stands have been reserved, and Canada’s dynamic urban park, Downsview Park, has graciously agreed to host the event. Expect to see many famous entertainers, sports celebrities and dignitaries throughout the day as we break records.

To see how this event has evolved over the years, please visit our main website at www.amandaslemonade.com.

As in the past, all products and activities at Amanda’s Lemonade Stand have been graciously donated 100%
